今日は「ドレッシーなカジュアルスタイル」と言うテーマを掲げて、「Style Book」コンテンツのカジュアル編の記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article with the theme of “Dressy casual style.” And in this article, I consider how to dress casual styling as dressy.
・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
本日取り上げるのは、2020年の1月初旬のカジュアルスタイリングです。この日は1日を通して晴れており、最高気温は12度程度と比較的過ごしやすい1日でした。このような中で、この日は私の実家に新年の挨拶を兼ねて、家族皆で訪問することになっていました。

This day was a pleasant day, but I was sick at the end of last year, so I wore a gray wool turtleneck to keep my body warm, and a navy blue wool x cashmere jacket I put on. In addition, cashmere x silk pocket squares are also placed on the chest.
また、パンツにはハウンドトゥース柄のグレーのウールパンツを合わせ、足元には脱着が簡単な、ブラックカーフのタッセルローファーを選んでいます。

・あとがき/ Consideration
普段私が実家に帰省する際には、当然ドレスアップすることはなく、リラックス出来るイージーウェアで帰ることが多いのですが、この日は新年の挨拶を兼ねておりましたので、あえてジャケットを着用することでドレスアップしたカジュアルスタイリングをすることにしました。
When I go back to parents home, I usually don’t dress up and I often go back there with relaxing easy wear. But on this day I also my new year’s greetings to my parents, so I decided to do dress-up styling by wearing a jacket.
カジュアルなスタイルをドレスアップする方法はいくつかありますが、その内の１つが色使いによる方法です。具体的には、メンズドレスファッションにおける定番のドレスカラーと言われるネイビーにグレー、ブラックと言った色でアイテムを構成しますと、カジュアルスタイルであってもドレッシーに見えるのです。
There are several ways to dress up a casual style, one of which is using dress color in your attire. Specifically, if you configure items with colors such as navy, gray, and black, which are the standard dress colors in gentlemen’s dress fashion, even casual styles look dressy.
今回はやや明るめのネイビーのジャケットを用いましたが、トップスやパンツにグレーカラーを用いて、更には靴にもフォーマルカラーであるブラックを選ぶことで、カジュアルな着こなしであっても、ドレッシーな雰囲気に仕上がります。
This time I used a slightly lighter navy jacket, and I chose a gray color for the tops and trousers. In addition, I selected black color that is a formal color on my shoes. By using black, even if I wear sporty wear, it would be dressy atmosphere.
また、色と言う観点で言えば、使う色数を抑えると言うことも重要なポイントの１つです。
In terms of color, reducing the number of using colors is another important point.
例えネイビーやグレー、ブラックにホワイトと言う、メンズドレスファッションにおけるフォーマル、ドレスカラーを使っていたとしても、他に赤や緑、黄色などの差し色を多用すればするほど、カジュアルよりのスタイリングになっていきます。
Even if you use formal and dress colors in gentlemen’s dress fashion, such as navy, gray, black and white, the more you use casual red, green, yellow, etc., the more styling will be casual.
色は、柄や素材以上に人の印象に影響を与えやすいと感じていますので、もしドレッシーに装いたいのであればドレスカラーを用いて、コーディネートに用いる色数も抑え、差し色は多用しないことをおススメします。
I feel that colors affect the impression of people more easily than patterns and materials, so if you want to wear dressy, I recommend that you have to wear dress color items and use fewer colors for coordination, also avoid using effect colors.
