この「Editing」と言うカテゴリでは、その日の装い（コーディネート）を考えることを「編集として捉え、装いのステップ・方法について下記の3つのステップで解説をしてきました。
In this category called “Editing”, thinking about the attire (coordination) of the day regard as “editing,” and the methods of dressing have been described in the following three steps.

この記事では、これらのステップを踏まえて実際にコーディネートを選ぶ、つまり“装いを編集する方法”を具体的に例示してみたいと思います。
In this article, I would like to give a concrete example of how to actually select the coordination based on these steps, that is, “how to edit the attire”.
なお、私は、美しく装うことでビジネスパートナーから「信頼のおける人」や「誠実な人」であると評価してもらい、それがビジネスを成功に導く第一歩になれば良いと言う志向を持っていることは既に述べた通りです。よって、ステップ2から解説していきます。
By the way, I already mentioned that I would like my business partner to perceive me as a “trusted person” or “honesty person” by dressing up beautifully to be the first step to business success. And that’s my will. Therefore, I’ll start with step 2.

・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
以下は、昨年11月中旬の装いです。この日の東京は晴れており、気温も最高気温が15度くらいで、とても心地の良い1日でした。
I’ll introduce the attire of mid-November last year. On that day, Tokyo was sunny and the highest temperature was around 15 degrees, a really comfortable day.
その日の予定としてはビジネスパートナーとの打ち合わせがあったのですが、もう何年もお付き合いをしている方であり、既に信頼関係が出来ている間柄でしたので、そこまで畏まった装いをする必要はありませんでした。
I had a meeting with a business partner on that day, but we’ve been dealing for years now, and we’ve already had a relationship of trust each other. So there was no need to dress up.
しかし、私は社外の方とお会いする場合は、例えそれがお客さんではなく、ビジネスパートナーであったとしても、出来るだけスーツを着用するようにしています。なぜならスーツはジャケパンスタイルに比べるとドレス度が高い装いですから、相手に対して敬意を示すことが可能だからです。
However, I almost wear suits when meeting people outside the company, even if they are not customers but business partners. Because suits are more dress than jackets, so I can show respect to them.
そこで無地ほどではないですが、ドレス度が高めのネイビーカラーのピンストライプ柄ウーステッドスーツを選び、これにサックスカラーのシャツとブラウンのソリッドウールタイを合わせました。
So I chose a navy pin-stripe worsted suit with a high dress level, though not as plain. And I matched a sax-colored shirt and brown solid wool tie with that.
また、靴はブラックではなく、ダークブラウンを選ぶことで硬さをとることを意識しつつ、ドレス度が高すぎず、カジュアル過ぎないモデルであるセミブローグシューズを選んでいます。
In addition, I selected semi-brogue shoes, a model that is not too high in dress level and not too casual, while conscious of choosing dark brown instead of black for softness.
・解説/ Commentary
装いにおけるステップ2は、TPO（シチュエーション）や季節、天候と言った装いにおける制約を確認したうえで、装いのドレス度を決めると言う作業です。
In step 2 is to determine the dressing level of the attire after checking the restrictions such as TPO (situation), season and weather.
今回の場合、私は季節や天候、その日の予定を踏まえた上で、比較的高いドレス度を持った装いをしようと決めていました。
In this case, I have decided to dress with a relatively high dress level based on the season, weather, and schedule for the day.
ドレス度を決めたら、あとは装いにおけるステップ3の通り、自らのセンスに基づいて、アイテムを選んでいくことになります。
Once you have decided on the dress level, you will have to select items based on your senses, as in Step 3 of the attire.
ところで、物事を考える際には詳細よりも大枠から考えていくことが多いと思うのですが、装いもこれと同じです。つまり、装いにおいて大きな面積を占めるアイテムから考える方がスムーズだと感じています。
By the way, when thinking about something, I think that we often think from the overall than the details, but the attire is the same. In other words, I feel that it is easier to think from items that occupy a large area in attire.
今回はまず、ネイビーカラーのピンストライプ柄ウーステッドスーツを選びました。選んだスーツは色や柄、素材のドレスレベルが比較的高いので、他に合わせるアイテム、具体的にはシャツやネクタイ、靴も同じレベルのドレス度を持つものを選ぶことが、美しい装いに繋がると考えています。
This time, firstly, I chose a navy pinstriped worsted suit. The suits I choose have relatively high dress levels of colors, patterns and materials, so choosing shirts, ties and shoes with the same level of dressing, will lead to beautiful dressing I believe.
装いにおいて比較的高いレベルのドレス度を前提とした場合、シャツの色はホワイトかサックスの2つの色から選ぶことが出来ます。私は打ち合わせ相手との関係性を考慮して、フォーマル色が強くなりすぎないサックスカラーの無地シャツを選びました。
If you have assumed a relatively high level of dress, you can choose between two colors of shirt, white or sax. I chose a plain sax-colored shirt in consideration of the relationship with the meeting partner. White shirt is ok, but sometimes it make feel too formal.
また、ネクタイは様々な選択肢がありますが、今回選んだ梳毛のスーツの場合には素材感が強くない方がバランス良くまとまります。よって私はシルクのような表情ウールタイを選ぶことで、スーツとのバランスをとりました。また、カジュアルな色であるブラウンを選ぶことで装いとしての柔らかさを狙う一方で、無地のネクタイを選ぶことで、ドレス度の高いスーツとの相性も考慮しています。
Then, there are various options for ties, but in the case of the worsted suit selected this time, those with less material texture will be well matched. So I chose a wool tie with a silky look and matched the dress level between the suit and tie. And, while aiming for the softness of the attire by choosing the brown color, which is a casual color, I chose a plain tie to fit with a highly level of dress suit.
そして、靴はネクタイに合わせてブラウンカラーを選んでいます。ストレートチップはドレス度が高く、フルブローグはカジュアルさ強くなりますが、私が選んだセミブローグシューズはそれらの中間に位置し、非常に使い勝手の良いモデルだと感じています。
And, shoes are selected in brown color according to the tie. Cap-toe oxford are more dressy and Full brogues are more casual, but the semi-brogue shoes I chose are positioned in between them, and I feel that they are very easy to use.
上記のように、意図した装いのドレス度に合うよう、それぞれのアイテムの持つドレス度、カジュアル度を考慮しながら、また選んだアイテム同士のドレスレベルが大きく異なることがないように配慮して、全体の装いをあなたの志向に従って編集していくのです。
As described above, while taking into account the dress level and casualness of each item to match the dress level of the intended attire, and taking care that the dress level of the selected items does not differ significantly, edit the overall attire according to your will.
なお、この装いが、その時の状況に対して適切な装いだったのか否かは分かりません。しかし、少なくともビジネスパートナーとの打ち合わせは無事に終わり、今でもとても良好な関係を維持している事実は、私の装いにおける目的を達成しているとも言えるのではないでしょうか。
It is not known whether this attire was appropriate for the situation at that time. However, at least the meeting with the business partner was finished successfully, and the fact that we still maintain a very good relationship may be said to have achieved my purpose in my attire.
