今日は前回に引き続き「リネンジャケット×タイドアップスタイル（カジュアルバージョン）」と言うテーマを掲げて、「Style Book」コンテンツのドレス編の記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article with the theme of “How to wear a linen jacket dressy” again. But today’s style is more casual than before style. And in this article, I consider about the way to take a balance of linen jacket with tie.
※The definition of a dress style is a tie style in this site.
・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
本日ご紹介するのは、8月下旬の装い。この日は晴れてはいましたが曇が多く、湿気の高い天気で、最高気温が33度程近くまであがるような暑い日でした。
I’ll introduce the attire of late August 2020. It was cloudy and humid on this day. The highest temperature was about 33 degrees Celsius and it was a hot day.
最近は新型コロナウィルスの影響によって外部の方との打ち合わせも減っているため、カジュアルよりの装いがしやすい状況にあります。よってポロシャツでの出勤も可能なのですが、結局何を着たとしても暑いことに変わりはないので、好きなジャケットスタイルを楽しむことにしました。
Recently, due to the influence of the COVID-19, meetings with outside partners have decreased, so I can wear casual clothes if I want. And it’s possible to go to work with a polo shirt, but it’s still hot no matter what I wear, so I decided to enjoy my favorite jacket style on this day.
そのような日の装いとして私が選んだのは、リネンのヘリンボーン柄シャドーストライプ柄ジャケットに、ホワイトベースのブルーカラーのストライプ柄リネンシャツ。そしてリネンのニットタイを締めました。
In this situation, I choose a herringbone shadow striped linen jacket and a white-based blue striped linen shirt. Then I tightened the linen knit-tie.
これベージュカラーのコットンパンツを穿き、靴にはライトブラウンのヌバック素材のVチップシューズを選んでいます。
I also wore beige cotton trousers, and selected light-brown nubuck V-tip shoes for my feet.
・あとがき/ Consideration
先日の記事（※）において、リネン素材のスーツやジャケットにネクタイを合わせ、美しくコーディネートをする方法として2つのアプローチがあると記述しました。
In a recent article（※）, I mentioned that there are two approaches to be beautifully coordinated by matching a tie to a linen suit or jacket.

そしてその記事では1つ目の方法である、スーツやジャケットにリネンに加えてドレッシーな素材、例えばリネンにウールやシルクと言った素材が混紡されているものを選ぶことで、ジャケット自体の雰囲気にドレッシーさを持たせると言うアプローチのスタイリングをご紹介していました。
And in that article, I introduced the styling of the first method that by choosing a linen mixed with materials such as wool and silk, for the suit or jacket, to add dressy atmosphere of the jacket itself.
Today’s styling takes the second method which is to balance the total look by using materials, colors, and patterns items that are more casual.
リネン素材のビジュアル上の魅力と言えば、シワとクタっとしたような程よく力の抜けた風合いです。フォーマルなシーンにおけるジャケットやスーツには適さない素材ですが、TPOが許すのであれば、夏場には魅力のある素材の1つです。
Speaking of the visual appeal of linen materials, it is a texture that is moderately clouchy and charm wrinkled. This material is not suitable for jackets and suits in formal scenes, but if situations allows it, it is one of the attractive materials in the summer.
しかしそんなカジュアルな雰囲気があるからこそ、リネンのジャケットに合わせるアイテムには気を使いたいところです。
However, because of such a casual atmosphere, I don’t use items for dress styles, but pay attention to items that match the linen jacket.
具体的には、今回はリネンジャケットの雰囲気に合わせてリネン混のストライプ柄シャツやリネンのニットタイを用いることで、装い全体をドレスダウンしています。
Specifically, this time I selected a linen-blended striped shirt and a linen knit-tie for the purpose of dressing down the styling to match the linen jacket.
また、パンツにもウールではなくコットンパンツを用いており、足元にもヌバック素材かつ外羽根のVチップというカジュアルスタイルの靴を合わせています。
In addition, I also selected cotton trousers instead of wool, and I wear casual style shoes called V-tips with nubuck material and blucher/derby.
リネンのジャケットにドレスシャツやシルクのネクタイ、ウールパンツを合わせることも出来ますが、リネンジャケットのシワの具合や色、デザインによっては全体がチグハグしてしまうことも考えられます。
You can combine a linen jacket with a dress shirt, silk tie, or wool trousers, but depending on the wrinkle condition, color, and design of the linen jacket, you may feel uncomfortable because of unbalanced.
そう言う意味では、今回のようなカジュアルな素材、色、スタイルを持つアイテムを合わせることで装い全体のバランスが整い、カジュアルながらも美しいスタイリングを楽しむことが出来るのではないかと考えています。
In that sense, I think that by combining items with casual materials, colors, and styles like this one, you can balance the overall attire and enjoy beautiful styling while being casual.

シルクでもグレナディンのようにざっくりとした表情を持つネクタイも清涼感があり、程良くカジュアルな雰囲気があるのでリネンジャケットにも合わせやすいと思います。
a grenadine-tie, which has a casual look and a refreshing feeling. A grenadine-tie has a moderately casual atmosphere, so I think that it is good to match it with a linen jacket.
カジュアルなリネンジャケットであってもウールやシルクが混紡されたジャケットであれば上品さのある美しいスタイリングを作り上げることが可能になりますし、今回のようにリネン100％のジャケットであっても、合わせるアイテムにカジュアルな要素があるものを選ぶことによって装い全体のバランスがとれ、美しいカジュアルスタイリングが出来るのではないでしょうか。
Even if it is a casual linen jacket, you can be beautifully styled with elegance by selecting the linen jacket which blended wool or silk. Even with a 100% linen jacket like this time, I think that by choosing items with casual elements to match, the overall attire can be balanced and beautiful casual styling can be achieved.
