今日は「グリーンカラーネクタイを使いこなす」と言うテーマを掲げて、「Style Book」コンテンツのドレス編の記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article with the theme of “How to use a green tie”. And in this article, I consider about the way of using a green tie from the perspective of the pattern.
・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
本日ご紹介するのは、12月中旬の装い。この日の東京は晴れており、気温は最高気温が15度くらいと言う、ほど良い寒さを感じる程度で心地の良い1日でした。
I’ll introduce the attire of mid-December. On that day, Tokyo was sunny and the highest temperature was around 15 degrees. It was a bit chilly, but nice weather.
このような中で、その日は社内の打ち合わせが数本ある程度でしたので、メンズドレスファッションの中ではカジュアルな色に位置付けられている、グリーンのネクタイを用いることにしました。
In such a situation, there were only a few in-house meetings on that day, so I decided to use a green tie, which is positioned as a casual color in gentlemen’s dress fashion.
主役のペイズリー柄のプリントされたグリーンのネクタイに合わせたのはグレーベースのピンヘッド柄に渋いオレンジのウィンドウペーン柄が入ったスーツ。これにホワイトカラーの無地のシャツとポケットスクエア、そしてブラウンのニットジレも着用しました。
I selected a suit which has a gray base pin head pattern with a bitter orange windowpane pattern. And I match a plain white shirt and a pocket square, a brown knit gilet, also a green wool tie with a paisley print as the leading role.
足元はダークブラウンカラーのセミブローグシューズを選んでいます。
I chose dark brown color semi-brogue shoes for my feet.
・あとがき/ Consideration
グリーンのネクタイを使いこなすコツはいくつかありますが、その内の１つが「合わせるスーツ/ジャケットの柄をカジュアルよりにする」ことです。
There are several tips for using a green tie beautifully, one of which is to “select the suit / jacket with casual pattern.”
上記にも記載しましたが、グリーンと言う色はメンズドレスファッションの中ではカジュアルな色に位置付けられています。よって、これに合わせるスーツやジャケットもカジュアルな柄のもの、具体的にはチェック柄のものを選ぶと、全体のバランスが整いやすいと考えています。
As mentioned above, the color green is considered a casual color in gentlemen’s dress fashion. Therefore, I believe that choosing a suit or jacket with a casual pattern, specifically a check pattern, will make it easier to dress beautifully.
もちろんチェック柄以外の柄でも良いのですが、例えばストライプ柄であればペンシルストライプよりは、もう少しカジュアル感の強いチョークストライプの方が合うと思います。
Of course, a pattern other than a check pattern is fine. For example, if it is a stripe pattern, I think that a chalk stripe is better than a pencil stripe. Because a chalk stripe is more casual than a pencil stripe.
今回はドレスカラーであるグレーがベースのスーツでしたが、ピンヘッド柄に渋いオレンジのウィンドウペーン柄が入ることでカジュアル感が出てきます。もし無地のグレースーツを選んでいたら、 また見え方は大きく異なってきたと思います。
This time, I chose a gray suit which is the dress color, but with the pinhead pattern and the cool orange windowpane pattern, the casual feeling comes out. If I choose a plain gray suit, I may have felt bit uncomfortable.
グリーンのネクタイを美しく着こなすためのヒント。柄と言う観点で言えば、よりカジュアルさのある柄のスーツやジャケットを合わせると言うことを、是非覚えておいてください。そして実際に自ら実践して頂ければ、その感覚をご理解頂けると思います。
Tips for dressing green ties beautifully. In terms of patterns, remember to match suits or jackets with more casual patterns and green tie. And if you can actually practice it yourself, you’ll understand my feeling.
