今日は「ベージュのワントーンスタイル」と言うテーマを掲げて、「Style Book」コンテンツのドレス編の記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article with the theme of “Beige one tone style”. And in this article, I consider a scene where you can enjoy coordination with bright colors in your business.
・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
本日ご紹介するのは、1月初旬の装い。この日は晴れ間がのぞくこともありましたが、1日を通して雲が多く、気温は最高気温が9度くらいと肌寒い1日でした。
Today, I’ll introduce the attire of early January. It was a chilly day with a lot of clouds throughout the day, with a maximum temperature of around 9 degrees Celsius.
また、この日はたまっていた事務作業を社内で行うことにしていましたので、社内外の打ち合わせの予定は入れていませんでした。よって、ややカジュアル度の高い装いをすることにしました。
And, I had decided to carry out the clerical work that has accumulated on the day, so I didn’t plan for meetings inside or outside the company. Therefore, I selected dress casual styling.
このような中で私が選んだのが、ベージュをベースカラーとしたウール×アンゴラのグレンチェックジャケットに、ホワイトの無地シャツとカシミアのベージュタイ。そして、ウール×シルクのVネックニット（ライトベージュ）を合わせ、胸にはベージュのポケットスクエア（ウール）を入れています。
In this situation, I choose a wool x angora glen check jacket with a beige base color, a plain white shirt and a cashmere beige tie. Also I combined wool x silk V-neck knit (light beige) is combined, and beige pocket square (wool) is put on the chest.
そしてパンツにもベージュのウールパンツを穿き、足元にはダークブラウンカラーのスエードローファーを選びました。
I also wore beige wool trousers and choose a dark brown suede loafers for my feet.
・あとがき/ Consideration
日本においては特に、ビジネスのシーンにおいて明るい色、トーンのスーツやジャケットを着用することは稀で、ビジネス街ではほとんど見ることはありません。しかし明るい色は気分を晴れやかにしたり、やる気を引き出したりすることがありますので、職場環境が許すのであれば使わない理由はないと考えています。
In Japan, especially in business situations, it is rare to wear suits and jackets in bright colors and tones, and they are rarely seen in business districts. However, bright colors can make the mood radiant or motivate, so if the work environment allows, there is no reason not to use them.
実際、私はこの日の天気のように曇っていたり、雨が降っていたりする日には、意図的に明るい色のスーツやジャケットを取り入れることが多々あります。もちろんTPOが許すと言う前提のもとでの話です。
In fact, I often use light-colored suits and jackets intentionally on cloudy or rainy days. Of course, it is based on the premise that TPO（Situation） allows.
天気が悪い日にはどうしても気分が暗くなりがちなので気分を盛り上げたい、と言うことも明るい色のスーツやジャケットを選ぶ理由の1つとしてありますが、そのような日には太陽が隠れていて暗いので、たとえ明るい色であっても落ち着いて見えると言った理由もあります。
One of the reasons for choosing a brightly colored suit or jacket is that I’d like to cheer me up because the bad weather makes me dark feeling. In addition, there is another reasons to say that even bright colors look calm when it’s bad weather.
装いと言うのは単独では成立せず、多少なりとも周囲の環境との繋がりを意識する必要があると考えています。上述しましたように、日本のビジネスシーンでは明るい色のスーツやジャケットが稀であるからこそ、天気の良い日だと目立ってしまう色であっても、曇りや雨の日に使うと派手すぎず、落ち着いて見え、結果的に着ている本人も、周囲の人間も仕事に集中することが出来ると感じています。
I don’t think that attire can be completed alone, and it needs to be aware of the connection with the surrounding environment to some extent. As mentioned above, in the Japanese business scene, it is rare to wear bright suits and jackets. So I can feel more comfortable when I wear them on bad weather, because even if it is a color that stands out on a sunny day, it is not too flashy on a cloudy or rainy day. And as a result, I feel that both the person wearing it and the people around can concentrate on work.
もちろん装いで目立つことがビジネス上優位に働くのであればこの限りはありませんが、装うことの本質は自分だけではなく、周囲の人も心地良い状態になることだと私は考えています。よって、自らの国の服装文化を尊重しながら、ファッションを楽しむことが大切でと思います。
Of course, if stands out in your attire can make your business advantage, this isn’t the only case. But I believe that the essence of dressing is not making feel good for just yourself, but also for people around you. Therefore, it is important to enjoy fashion while respecting the clothing culture of your country.
