今日は「ブラウングラデーションスタイル」と言うテーマを掲げて、「Style Book」コンテンツのドレス編の記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article with the theme of “Brown gradation style” And in this article, I consider about tips for incorporating gradation into an attire.
・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
本日ご紹介するのは、3月下旬の装い。この日は1日を通して気持ち良く晴れており、最高気温は15度程度でした。
It was sunny all day long with a maximum temperature of about 15 degrees Celsius.
メンズドレスファッションにおいて、ブラウンはカジュアルカラーです。よって、私がスーツやジャケットの色としてブラウンを用いる日は外部の方とお会いする予定がなく、社内作業であることがほとんどです。この日も、そんな事務作業を行う1日でした。
Brown is a casual color in gentlemen’s dress fashion. Therefore, when I use brown as the color of my suit or jacket, I usually do not plan to meet with clients, and it is often in-house work. This day was also a day to do such office work.
そんな日の装いとして私が選んだのは、ブラウンカラーのウール×シルク×カシミアのグレンチェックジャケットに、ブラウンのロンドンストライプ柄シャツ。そしてブラウンのウールニットジレをインナーに入れ、ブラウンのペイズリー柄ジャカードシルクネクタイを締めました。
In this situation, I choose a brown-colored wool × silk × cashmere glen check jacket and a brown London striped shirt. Then I put a brown wool knit gilet inside and tied a brown paisley jacquard silk tie.
また、ベージュカラーのウールパンツを穿き、靴にはダークブラウンのスエードローファーを選んでいます。
I also wore beige wool trousers, and selected dark brown suede loafers for my shoes.
・あとがき/ Consideration
ブラウンカラーのグラデーションに限りませんが、装いにグラデーションを取り入れる際のコツの１つは、装い全体としての色使いと、部分としての色使いの2つを考えることです。
It’s not limited to brown-colored gradations, but one of the tips when incorporating gradation into an attire is to think about two things: the color usage of the attire as a whole and the color usage of parts.
具体的には、装い全体を上半身、下半身、靴の大きく3つに分けて色のグラデーションを考えるのと同時に、複数のアイテムが集中する上半身部分のグラデーションを考えます。
Specifically, I think about the gradation of color by dividing the entire attire into three main parts, the upper body, the lower body, and shoes, and at the same time, think about the gradation of the upper body part where multiple items are concentrated.
今回の装いを例にとると、上半身にはやや濃い目のブラウン、下半身にはベージュ、靴には濃いブラウンを用いることで、装い全体に色の濃淡をつけています。
Taking this attire as an example, the upper half of the body is slightly dark brown, the lower half of the body is beige, and the shoes are dark brown, giving the entire attire a light and shade.
また、上半身については、ジャケットにやや濃い目のブラウン、シャツには薄いブラウン、ネクタイとインナーニットに濃い目のブラウンを用いることでグラデーションを構成しています。
For the upper half of the body, a gradation is created by using a slightly dark brown for the jacket, a light brown for the shirt, and a dark brown for the tie and inner knit.
全てのアイテムに濃淡の異なるアイテムを取り入れることが出来れば美しいグラデーションが出来るのですが、所有するアイテムによってはそれが難しい場合があります。その場合、同じ濃度の色を使う際には、異なる素材を用いることによって同じ濃度の色でもグラデーション効果をつけることができると感じています。
It is possible to create beautiful gradations if you can incorporate items with different shades into all items, but it may be difficult depending on the items you own. In that case, when using the same density color, I feel that by using different materials, it is possible to create a gradation effect with the same density color.
この日の装いであれば、ネクタイとインナーのニットジレに同じ濃いブラウンを用いています。ただ、シルクとウールと言う異なる素材を用いていますので、立体感を感じさせる効果が生まれていると思います。
For this attire, the same dark brown color is used for the tie and inner knit gilet. However, since different materials such as silk and wool are used, I think that it has the effect of giving a three-dimensional effect.
なお、濃いブラウンは靴の色としても用いていますが、それぞれ異なる素材であることに加えて、上半身と靴では距離がありますので違和感がありません。
In addition, dark brown is also used as the color of shoes, but in addition to being different materials, there is no discomfort because there is a distance between the upper body and shoes.
つまり、装いにグラデーションを用いる際のコツは大きく3つです。
In other words, there are three main tips when using gradation for attire.
1つ目は、装い全体と上半身の2つに分けてグラデーションのバランスを考えること。
The first is to consider the balance of gradation by dividing it into two parts, the whole attire and the upper body.
2つ目は、同じ濃度の色を用いる際には異なる素材を用いること。
Second, use different materials when using the same color density.
3つ目は、同じ濃度の色を持つアイテムを用いる際には、距離をとること。
Third, keep a distance when using items with the same color density.
上記3つのポイントを意識することで、装いに美しいグラデーションを取り入れることが出来るのではないかと考えています。
I think that it is possible to incorporate beautiful gradation into the attire by being aware of the above three points.
