本記事では「メンズドレススタイルにおけるスタイルのつくり方」と言うテーマの中でも、白い無地シャツの有効的な使い方についてについて記述したいと思います。

恐らく上述したようなシーンにおいて白い無地シャツを着用することは、一般的に浸透していると思います。よって本記事で私がご紹介したいのは、カジュアルなスタイルをする際に、装いに美しさを取り入れることを目的として白い無地シャツを使うと言う方法です。

なお、美しさの定義は人それぞれだと思うのですが、私は本サイトのメニューにある「Intro」でも記載しましたように、装いを構成する要素のバランスが相互に取れている状態が美しい装いであると考えています。

まずは、カジュアルなブラウンカラーのチョークストライプ柄フランネルスーツにベージュ（イエロー）のウールタイを締めているスタイルです。カジュアルなブラウンやベージュと言う色に加えて、起毛した素材のスーツを着て言いますが、装いとしてはクリーンな美しさがあると思います。
The first style is a casual brown color chalk stripe flannel suit with beige (yellow) wool tie. In spite of using casual brown, beige colors and fabric, I can say that the attire has a clean beauty.
しかし、シャツをサックスカラーに変えると、以下のようになります。白い無地シャツのコーディネートに比べると、クリーンな美しさは弱まっているように感じます。
However, if you change the shirt to a sax-color, the clean beauty feels weaker than the coordination of a white plain shirt.
また、ベージュの起毛したカシミアジャケットに、グレージュのチェック柄ネクタイを締めているスタイルの場合も見てみます。こちらもカジュアルな色、素材ではありますが、ドレッシーで上品な美しさを感じます。
In the case of a style in which a beige cashmere jacket and a greige check patterned tie are fastened, the result is as follows. This is also a casual color and material, but I can feel dressy and elegant beauty.
これに対して、シャツをサックスカラーに変えたコーディネートが以下のスタイルです。上記と比較することで、ホワイトの無地シャツが持っているクリーンさ、上品な美しさより強く感じることが出来るのではないでしょうか。
On the other hand, the style that changes the shirt to a sax-color is the following style. By comparing with the above, you can feel more the cleanness and elegant beauty of the plain white shirt.
もう少し極端な例をご紹介したいと思います。
I would like to introduce a more extreme example.
下記は、ベージュのグレンチェック柄ジャケットに、ボルドーのネクタイとジレを合わせている装いです。ボルドーはインパクトの強い色ですが、白の無地シャツを用いることで派手さを抑え、美しさを保つことが出来ていると思っています。
The image below is a style that I wear a beige glen check jacket with a bordeaux tie and gilet. Bordeaux is a color that has a strong impact, but I think that using a plain white shirt suppress it flashy and keeps the style beautifully.
また、以下はライトブラウンカラーのスエードのサファリジャケットにウールのニットタイ、フェアアイル柄のウールベストを合わせたカントリー調のスタイル。それでも白い無地シャツを用いることで、カジュアルになり過ぎず、ドレッシーな雰囲気さえ感じることが出来るように思うのですが、いかがでしょうか。
And the following image is a country style with a light brown suede safari jacket, a wool knit tie, and a fair aisle wool vest. Still, by using a white plain shirt, I think that you can feel dressy even without being too casual.
最後にご紹介するのもカジュアルなスタイリング。ベージュのショールカラーカーディガンに、ブラウンのコットンニットタイ、ブラウンのウールジレを合わせています。これにも白い無地シャツを用いることでジャケットスタイルのようなドレッシーさを感じると言ったら言い過ぎかもしれませんが、個人的にはリラックスウェアとしてのショールカラーカーディガンを美しく着こなすことが出来た例の1つだと考えています。
Last example is also casual styling. I wear a beige shawl collar cardigan, brown cotton knit tie and brown wool gilet. It may be too much to say that you can feel dressy like a jacket style by using a white plain shirt. Personally, I think it’s an example of a beautifully dressed shawl collar cardigan despite being a relaxed wear.
上記の様に、白い無地のシャツはカジュアルな色、柄、素材、アイテムとドレススタイルとの橋渡しをする、バランサーのような役割を担うことの出来るアイテムだと考えています。よってカジュアルなスタイルになり過ぎそうな際には白い無地のシャツを用いることで、クリーンかつ上品な美しさを装いに取り入れることが出来ると考えています。
As mentioned above, I consider white plain shirts to be a balancer-tool that bridges casual colors, patterns, materials and dress styles. So when your style will be too casual, I believe that using a plain white shirt can bring clean and elegant beauty to your attire.
フォーマルなシーンではもちろんですが、カジュアルな装いにおいても白い無地シャツを上手く活用することで、美しい装いを楽しむことが出来るのではないでしょうか。
