今日は「冬のネイビージャケットスタイリング」と言うテーマを掲げて、記念すべき第1回目の「Style Book」コンテンツの記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article about the first “Style Book” content to commemorate, with the theme of “Navy-colored worsted jacket styling for winter”. And in this article, I consider of the color balance for winter jacket style.
- TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
今日ご紹介するのは、12月初旬の装いです。この日の東京は、とても気持ち良く晴れた、心地の良い1日でした。気温は最高気温が15度くらいと、寒すぎず、冬の装いを楽しめるくらい。
I’ll introduce my attire of early December.Tokyo on that day was lovely day. The maximum temperature was around 15 degrees, so it’s not too cold and we could enjoy winter clothes.
このような中で、その日は付き合いの長い事業パートナーの来客があり、短時間ながらも打ち合わせが予定されていました。よってビジネスウェアとしては最もベーシックな装いの1つである、ネイビージャケットとグレーのスラックスのコンビネーションを選びました。
In such a situation, I had a business partner’s visit, and a meeting was scheduled for a short time. Therefore, I selected a combination of a navy-colored jacket and gray trousers, which is one of the most basic business wear.
やや明るめのネイビーカラーのジャケットはアリストンの合物のウール生地を使っており、これにサックスとホワイトのストライプ柄ドレスシャツを合わせ、ネクタイはマットなシルクに小紋柄がプリントされたダークブルー（パープル）カラーをセレクト。
The slightly brighter navy-colored jacket is made of ARISTON ‘s worsted fabric which is available for all season except high summer, and I selected a dress cotton shirt with sax and white striped. The tie was dark blue (purple) with a small pattern printed on matte silk.
パンツにはフランネルのグレーカラーの無地のウールパンツを選び、足元にはブラックカラーのセミブローグを選びました。
And I chose flannel gray plain wool trousers and black semi-brogues shoes.
- あとがき/ Consideration
メンズドレスファッションの最もベーシックなジャケパンスタイルの1つが、ネイビージャケットにグレーのパンツを合わせる方法です。
One of the most basic jacket styles of men’s dress fashion is a navy jacket with gray trousers.
この日は来客があったために色では遊ばず、上半身はブルーのワントーンでまとめるなど、ベーシックなカラーコーディネートでまとめています。
Since I had a visitor on this day, I didn’t play with colors, and the upper body is gathered in a basic color coordination, such as a blue (navy) one tone.
一般的に梳毛の生地はドレスよりで、紡毛の生地はカジュアルよりの生地となります。よって、打ち合わせのあったこの日は、装いに占める面性の多いジャケットにはドレッシーな梳毛の生地のものを選び、冬用の紡毛の生地のアイテムはパンツのみとなります。
In general, the worsted fabric is dress, and the woolen fabric is more casual. Therefore, on the day when I had a meeting, I chose dressy worsted fabric for the jacket that has a lot of surface area in the attire, and the only item for winter woolen fabric is trousers.
今回の装いのポイントはライトグレーではなく、グレーのパンツを選んだこと。ジャケットがやや明るいネイビーでしたので、あえてパンツのカラートーンは抑え目にし、冬と言う季節感を色で表現してみました。
The point of this attire is that I chose gray trousers instead of light gray. The jacket was a little bright navy, so I intended to choose the dark color of the trousers and try to express the winter season in color.
なお、もしジャケットがもっと暗いネイビーであれば、パンツはライトグレーカラーを選ぶことで、全体の装いにおける色のバランスをとったと思います。
If the jacket was dark navy, I would choose light gray trousers to balance the overall clothing color.
装いにおける美しさは、装い単体では完結せず、季節などの周囲の環境要素とセットで決まります。例えば、今回のようにやや明るめのネイビーカラーのジャケットにライトグレーのパンツを合わせると装いとしては美しいのですが、春夏っぽい雰囲気が出てしまい、季節とのミスマッチ感が強くなります。それでは美しさは完ぺきとは言えません。
The beauty of attire is not only complete with attire alone, but also is determined by the surrounding environmental factors such as the season. For example, if you wear light gray trousers with a slightly lighter navy-colored jacket, it maybe looks beautiful as an attire, but you maybe feel a spring-summer-like atmosphere and the feeling of mismatch with the season becomes stronger. Then beauty is not perfect.
よって、ベーシックなネイビーとグレーのコーディネートであったとしても、季節などのTPOを考慮して色（トーン）を選ぶことが大切だと考えています。
Therefore, even if it is basic navy and gray coordination, I think it’s important to choose a color (tone) considering the situation like the season.
