今日は「グリーンカラーネクタイを使いこなす Vol.2」と言うテーマを掲げて、「Style Book」コンテンツのドレス編の記事をお送りしたいと思います。
Today, I would like to write an article with the theme of “How to use a green tie Vol.2”. And in this article, I consider about the way of using a green tie beautifully from the perspective of the color and materials.
・TPOと装い/Situation and Attire
本日ご紹介するのは、12月下旬の装い。正確には、12月24日のクリスマス・イヴの装いです。幸いにもこの日の東京は1日中晴れており、気温は最高気温が12度くらいでした。
Today, I’ll introduce the attire of late-December. Precisely, it is the attire of Christmas Eve on December 24 2019. Fortunately, Tokyo is sunny all day and the highest temperature was around 12 degrees.
今回のクリスマス・イヴには、打合せの予定がはいりませんでした。よって、服装に制限はなく、クリスマスを意識してグリーンのネクタイを用いることにしました。
This Christmas Eve did not have any meetings. Therefore, there is no restriction on attire, so I decided to use a green tie for Christmas.
チェック柄のプリントされたグリーンのネクタイに合わせたのはブラウンベースのグレンチェック柄のジャケット、これにホワイトカラーの無地のシャツとカシミア×シルクのポケットスクエア、そしてグリーンのツイードジレも着用しました。
I selected the green wool x cashmere tie with a printed plaid was matched with a brown-based glen check pattern jacket, a plain white shirt and cashmere x silk pocket square, and a green tweed gilet.
そしてパンツにはベージュカラーの無地のウールパンツ、足元にはブラウンカラーのホールカットシューズを選んでいます。
I chose plain beige wool pants and brown color hole-cut shoes.
なお、この日はコートも着用していましたが、合わせたのはブラウンカラーのカシミア素材のポロコートでした。
I also wore a overcoat on this day, I selected a brown cashmere polo coat.
・あとがき/ Consideration
先日、グリーンのネクタイを使いこなすコツの１つとして「合わせるスーツ/ジャケットの柄をカジュアルよりにする」、具体的にはカジュアルなチェック柄のスーツ/ジャケットを合わせることをご提案しました。
The other day, as one of the tips for using a green tie beautifully, I suggested that “match the suit / jacket pattern to be casual”, specifically like a check pattern suit / jacket.
なぜならグリーンと言う色はメンズドレスファッションの中ではカジュアルな色に位置付けられていますので、合わせるスーツやジャケットにもカジュアルな「柄」のものを選ぶと全体の調和がとりやすくなり、結果として美しい装いになると考えているからです。
Because, I said that the color green is positioned as a casual color in gentlemen’s dress fashion, so I recommended you to match a suit or jacket with casual pattern to green tie would make it easier to harmonize the whole of attire. As the result you can use green tie beautifully.
今日は、「柄」に加えて、「色」と「素材」の観点から、グリーンのネクタイを美しく着こなす方法をご紹介したいと思います。
Today, I would like to introduce how to dress beautifully with a green tie in terms of “color” and “material” in addition to “pattern”.
私が今回選んだジャケットは、グリーンと同じく、メンズドレスファッションの中では“カジュアルな色”に位置付けられているブラウンがベースカラーとなっています。そしてブラウンに、カジュアルな柄であるグレンチェック柄が配置されています。
The jacket I chose this time, is based on brown, which is “a casual color same as green”, in gentlemen’s dress fashion. And on the brown, a casual pattern glen check is placed.
またジャケットの素材はウール×シルク×カシミア。ジレはウールで、ツイード織物です。最近は技術の発達によって様々な素材が混紡されたファブリックが開発されていますが、メンズドレスファッションの世界では、ピュアウール100％が最もドレッシーな素材となります。
The material of the jacket is wool x silk x cashmere. And the gilet is wool and tweed fabric. Recently, various materials have been blended due to technological development, but pure wool 100 is the most dressy material in the world of gentlemen’s dress fashion.
混紡素材はそれぞれの素材の良さを引き出したり、デメリットを抑えたりすることが出来る魅力的な素材ですが、ドレスかカジュアルかと言えば、合わせる素材にもよりますがカジュアルよりの位置づけです。
Blended material is an attractive material that can bring out the goodness of each material and reduce disadvantages, but it is generally casual materials(depending on the material to be blended.)
例えば、今回混紡されているカシミアのように起毛感が強くなる、季節感のある素材の位置づけはカジュアルよりの素材となります。また、農民の防寒着としての起源を持つと言われているツイードは、その粗い組織を持つ見た目だけではなく、歴史的にもカジュアルな素材です。
For example, a material with a seasonal feeling, such as cashmere blended this jacket, which has a strong brushed feeling, is a casual material. Also, tweed, which is said to have its origin as a winter coat for farmers, is not only a rough-textured appearance, but also a historically casual material.
このように、グリーンと言う色の位置づけを踏まえた上で、これに合わせる「色」や「素材」を考える、具体的には、カジュアルな色であるグリーンのネクタイに合わせて、カジュアルな「色」や「素材」のジャケットやジレを用いることで全体としてのバランスが取れ、グリーンのネクタイが目立ち過ぎることなく、美しく装うことが出来ると思っています。
In this way, matching green ties with items of casual colors and materials can help harmonize the overall attire. That way, the green tie can be beautifully dressed with less noticeability.
グリーンのネクタイを用いる際には、合わせるアイテムの「色」「素材」、そして「柄」に（グリーンに合わせて）カジュアルなものを選ぶと、装いが破綻することなく、美しくまとまるのではないでしょうか。
When taking a green tie in your attire, I believe that if you choose a casual item (to match the green) at the “color”, “material”, and “pattern” of the item, the dress will be beautifully organized without breaking down.
